Order of the Rhododendron
                      Scholars and Teachers Ceremony
      Each year, the McGrew Society accords the Order of the Rhododendron to the top 10 Preston County students, based upon their performance on the WV Golden Horseshoe exam. Our effort to commend excellence in learning the lessons of our state's history was not deterred even during years of pandemic when, despite masks and social distancing, students came to McGrew House to be congratulated for their efforts. 
        Also honored are the students' past year's WV Studies teachers from different Preston Middle Schools for their excellent work, imparting lessons so very well.
        We extend special thanks to our area legislators for their presentations to each Scholar, which make the day such a memorable occasion.
